We need you!
At High Plains Library, we have many opportunities for our parents to volunteer, but our greatest need by far is for shelving! We circulate about 1,500 books every month (that's amazing!), so we need a lot of help to get the books back on the shelves and ready to be checked out again.
If you're interested in shelving, we just ask that you meet once with our parent library volunteer coordinator for a 30-45 minute library orientation. We will schedule this with you before you start volunteering. This training will help you understand the different sections of our library. After that we're happy to have you come in at your convenience. Maybe you're not able to spare an hour or two during the day? Perhaps consider staying for a little while after you drop off your child in the morning, or maybe come 20 minutes sooner at pickup time. When it comes to shelving, every little bit helps!
Occasionally other volunteer opportunities arise as well. If you're interested in helping us with shelving or other tasks, please click here to fill our form! Thank you!
